When it comes to weddings & events styling, white and ivory combined with green have always been a favorite colour palette. For flower and foliage choice, a mixture of roses, peonies, lisianthus, and different greeneries such as viburnum, eucalyptus, and gum were the winners. Yes, you can’t go wrong with these neutral, everlasting, classic colors. It is easily complimented the venue’s styling and matched any bridesmaids’ dress. Having this color palette really dominating weddings and events styling and floral arrangements in the past two years with occasionally some couple chose to have some tiny bit of pale or pastel flowers added into the ‘whites”, it is very exciting to see the return of “colors” in 2021.

The year started with a strong indication of a shift in colour trend and we start to see more colours appear in our styling and floral design. From soft pastel color palette of blush pink, dusty pink, soft peach, or apricot range to soft blue and light velvet. There is a strong favour in the new “latte” colour as well, which comes in various flower choices including roses, orchids, and many preserved flowers. The colour trend doesn’t stop with just the soft colours but keeps growing to brighter, cheerful colour such as sweet pink, and bright green to more and more vivid colors of red, burgundy and orange shade. Burnt Orange has been a favorite for winter and autumn weddings this year too. As for the flowers and greeneries options, roses and peonies are still the winners followed by Australian Natives including Protea, Waratah, Kangaroo Paws.

For floral design, non-conventional, free – unstructured style is becoming more of the trend in 2021. This design style combined with stronger colour existence in flower arrangements really form a dynamic work of floral art for weddings and events styling that represent more sense of cheerfulness, freedom, and celebration. So, Welcome back colours!
